This course, offered by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), is a five-day, 40-hour aviation safety program conducted by an official IATA instructor. It is a classroom aviation safety program. So, one must visit the IATA training center or opt for in-house training. One’s performance will be marked based on assessment. The SMS aims to maintain aviation safety globally, improve operational efficiency, and ensure safe operations.

3. Advanced safety management systems (SMS) in civil aviation
Developed and delivered by IATA in collaboration with the industry, this aviation safety program helps one build expertise and knowledge in the domain. It is a four-day session that spans over 16 hours, during which the curriculum examines safety management concepts from a holistic point of view.  As part of this course, one will develop a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing the  organization’s safety outcomes.
The course is designed to foster critical thinking  and enable participants to create defensible safety positions through group discussions and case studies. As the sessions progress, participants will learn emerging safety management concepts that will shape the SMS in the coming years.

- It is a live virtual classroom session
- During the course, participants will have one live interactive virtual session per day

4. Aircraft recovery workshop

- Identifying airport weight reduction methods
- Responsibilities of the airline operations and airport
