Features of the Perodua Bezza
1. Exterior
The Perodua Bezza 2024 has been restyled completely, with sleek changes that make it stand out from its predecessors. A chrome back door garnish and wing mirror-mounted indicators are a standard offering on all trims. Buyers are met with sleek new LED headlamps, a redesigned bumper on the bigger engine variants, and a new front grille. New two-tone skirtings and 15-inch alloy wheels are also available to add more interest to the car. It is available in six colours: Ivory White, Garnet Red, Glittering Silver, Granite Grey, Ocean Blue, and Sugar Brown.Â
2. Interior
The Bezza may look compact but offers a tonne of storage space. While the features inside depend largely on the variant one chooses, every Bezza has ample legroom and headroom to offer a relaxed and comfortable drive. The seats are manually adjustable and can be customised in eight ways to meet individual needs and preferences. The instrument panel is a monotone black, with silver-painted garnish to add flair to the interiors. The central cluster is also painted black to match this finish and give the car a more cohesive look. Carpet mats, a safety triangle, a registration plate holder, and a luggage net are standard offerings across all variants. Â
The vehicle has a whopping 508L of storage space in the rear and practical storage solutions such as a multipurpose compartment, a luggage net, and an under-luggage compartment.Â
In the AV variant of the Perodua Bezza 2024, buyers will also find features such as smart entry with a smart key and push start/stop button, semi-bucket leather seats, a new metre combination with white illumination, a revamped multimedia system with navigation and smart link, and a smartphone slot and USB port in the rear console.
3. Engine and performance
The Bezza’s engine options, performance, and fuel efficiency make it the ideal choice for every buyer. There are two engine variants available: a 998 cc 3-cylinder 1.0l VVT-i and a 1329 cc 4-cylinder 1.3l Dual VVT-i that pair up with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4 E-AT (automatic transmission). The smaller engine can make 67 horsepower and 91 Nm of torque, while the larger one can produce 94 horsepower and 121 Nm. Â
The 1.0L engine has a fuel efficiency of 22.8 km/l when paired with the manual transmission. This drops to 21.3 km/l with the automatic transmission. The 1.3L variant is only available with automatic transmission; it has a fuel consumption of around 21.5 km/l. One of the major factors behind the car’s high efficiency is the Eco Idle mode—only available in the AV trim—which helps reduce fuel consumption by 6% by cutting down idling time.Â
4. Safety and driver assistance
The Perodua Bezza has a 5-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating, making it not just an affordable but also a safe purchase. Some standout safety and driver assistance features include dual SRS airbags for both the driver and passenger, Advanced Safety Assist 2.0, vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control (TRC), hill start assist (HSA), seat belt reminders for the driver and front passenger, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution, and the one-touch function with jam protection on the driver’s side.
